About Kel Felts

Hello! My name is Kel, and I’m a Brazilian artist who specializes in needle felted, lifelike mice, dressed in custom-made, whimsical outfits sewn by me. I found comfort and creativity in felting during childhood, and it became a way for me to navigate my struggles with anxiety and autism.

My biggest inspiration is the magical world of children’s books, where animals talk, explore, and live in charming, cozy settings. Before becoming a full-time needle felter, I worked as a graphic designer, and this journey has allowed me to merge my love for design and storytelling into my current practice, creating pieces that feel as though they’ve stepped out of a storybook.

I’ve had the privilege of selling my pieces to 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Spain, France and Hong Kong. Each mouse is made from natural materials, and I source wool from a local farm, grounding my creations in sustainability as well as artistry. I've sold more than one hundred, one of a kind mice. Each take up to 20 hours of handmade labor.

You can find my sculptures for purchase on my Ko-Fi shop! Link below:
